I am about to finish Hayate, but in the meantime I said "man, I would like to draw some muscle" and since I just did my wolf character why not his really buff tiger BFF?Crying because reasons that sounded way cooler in my head but I am sticking with the "practicing tears mood" one.
Anyways, I only need to have the gray Copic set so I can shade his rock solid abs and pecs (what a joy ^-^) so I will finish this one and Hayate's most likely tomorrow, So pumped and no worries BTW, I am going to keep going with all of my characters (even the ones I haven't finished yet)

First off, you really done well on the anatomy of an anthropomorphic tiger with some thick chest, abs and muscles to push more guts into it. Also, the fur given more detail for realism in big cats, but a little bit scruffy when it brushed out. The face expression when he is in tears made him feel a little agony inside of it, while a smirk is chip it up of his mouth.
However, there is some error around of your tiger character is the ears are too small; the eye colours are supposed to be hazel green and not pure blue and the stripes from the fur are look like complex thunderbolts. Not to mention about the colour palette; the tiger's nose suppose to be pale and mute instead of brightly red and while the fur is coloured orange for real tigers but in more earthy-like tone and the stripes are mostly more darker brownish-black.
If you want any more details and information about animal furs, Google is your friend, so do some more research about tiger's fur, find their colour scheme, so you can mix and match the colour's fur for accuracy to your character. Hope you enjoy reading all of these words for criticism, still you are in progress after all, I guarantee that.

Ummm as I said in another comment, about the progress, I finished it about the same day but the picture just looked better on this one
So, the ears are too small? I understand, I will take that into consideration when making it on future illustrations
Well, I know that tigers don't have (or at least don't tend to) pure blue eyes, but I did it blue to reinforce the hint of his pacifist nature and untainted form of justice and high morals (since I wanted to make the blue in resemblance to water, like the sea, calm, peaceful and pure), I just thought it would be a good idea to give those sort of clues since it sounded cool.
To be honest, I did not had an appropiate copic marker at the time, only the bright red for the nose, another thing I will change on the future
About the stripes.. are you saying that mine look like thunderbolts or are you saying that they supposed to look like them? If it's the former... I just wanted to make patterns that were easier to replicate since I am planning to make this a comic book/manga character and I thought it would be a pain to make them properly over and over again while trying to make them similar every time, but if doesn't look good I could try it the real way
And for last. I didn't wanted to make him orange with black stripes since he isn't a Bengal Tiger, he is a Golden Tiger (a tiger usually made in captivity being distingued from the others by the clearer palette, tending to have a more strawberry white/blonde fur with much paler stripes made by a recessive gene causing a different color tone, then again, like the white tiger, they are just a color form and not a seperate species) you can see the page in wikipedia in here

Well, to be fair though, even as a golden tiger, the coloring isn't that accurate since it needed to be even more pale with more whites, but not too shabby on one of my first tries right? still, I will do my best to develop my tiger guy even more

Looks really good! Good emotion on the face and you're killing it with those muscles! I'm guessing that since its called "body in progress" that it's not done yet, so I'm excited to see what it looks like when it's all done.

Oh sorry, technically that one is not done but I did upload the finished one before, but the issue was that I used my cellphone camera and it was night so bad light source. you can watch the finished one in my account if you want unless I can send you a better one here, though I only shaded the muscles so is not that different.
And thank you, I have been searching muscle references forever, it was hard since they are like snowflakes in a way, similar but never the same :/

You did a great job! And you're not wrong about muscles; they are all similar but each person as slight difference that are apparent even to the untrained eye. That's why I don't nitpick about the exact form of things like muscles. They will always be unique even though their positions and groupings never change.

Oh and as a bonus to you for commenting, I am going to share you a secret, I will draw him as a child/preteen and he wasn't buff by the way, he was often mistaken as a girl since he used to be so slender, frail and quite pretty
