I used to be pagan, but I kind of lost my way I guess you could put it. While I did choose it for the Halloween contest, that was done when I was firmly planted in my path of being a Wiccan. I still believe and respect many of the things having to deal with witchcraft, but after multiple incidents with people that were apart of my coven, I just decided that I didn't want to identify as a Wiccan anymore. Though it's not because I despise it, it's because it's too painful memory-wise to try to observe and follow that path, so I just kind of made up my own. And thank you! I love photomanipulation. ^.^ Taught myself how to use photoshop just because I was so intrigued by it.

I practice eclectically (my own path that I make on my own as I go- like you did), not in a coven. I don't like the thought of having to follow guidelines as far as my religion is concerned, which is exactly what a coven entails. I've never felt freer at spirit and heart, though, since becoming a pagan. I've fallen in love with it.
What Gods did you honor when you were a pagan? I mainly honor Cernunnos, Brigid, Gaia, and Odin, though I pray to others whenever a need arises.
I'm mainly interested in the Celtic mythos as well as the Norse mythos, with a small amount of Hellenistic mythos. And then also dragon magick interests me. ^^

It wasn't a super strict coven. It was the people I was friends with and I. We had our own sacred bond. I grew up in a Christian family and it never really appealed to me. So once I found out about about the pagan religions, I identified with them immediately. I still do, but like I said, I do it in my own way. No more rituals or spell collecting. I just couldn't do it.
I leaned towards Greek and Egyptian gods. I grew up learning about them, loving the stories of Greek Mythology. I knew nearly all of them. With the Egyptian, I love their art and jewelry and the devotion that they had to cats pre BC. I would choose the god or goddess that fit my need for the spell I was working or even simple prayer. Since I know/knew the majority of them, it was pretty simple! lol

Yes, I was raised Christian as well. That's sad, though, that you would abandon a passion of yours due to the relationship you had with others. Why not just isolate yourself from them knowing your relations were causing you spiritual harm, and practice as a solitary witch? I mean, I practice as a semi-solitary one (I connect with a lot of other witches via Facebook, honestly lol).
Lol, you mentioning their devotion to cats made me think of the silliest pagan meme I have saved on my computer. It shows a deer on a snowy porch outside a glass door. On the inside of the door is a cat. The caption bubble above the deer says "Excuse me, but have you accepted Cernunnos as your Lord and Savior?" and then the cat's caption bubble says "Sorry, but I worship Bast." xD

Great work. Reminds me of the three witches from Macbeth only sexy instead of hags.
Thanks for using my stock.
