Description
You were wandering around the street of an abandoned town around 8:45 PM. “Kind of hard to think of this place being so…lively before.” You said to yourself, headphones blaring. “Scoli..?” You heard from behind you, turning to notice that there was a large horse-like bug type peeking around a corner. You felt your blood freeze as you turned and ran. “Pede!” The creature screamed, charging after you like a bull after the colour red. “Don’t kill me..!” You shouted as you made your way into an abandoned house. You ran upstairs, hiding from the Pokémon. “Scoli? Pede Pede!” It said, trotting around the house. Your breathing wavered as you felt yourself unable to breath because of that short heart attack. Right as you were about to leave out of the window, a Gastly came up from behind, scaring you away from it. You growled, throwing punches at the orb, but your swings went straight through it. “Gast..! Ly, Gast!” It laughed at your pitiful attempts. “Scoli! PEDE!” Scolipede ran up the stairs, screeching a battle cry. Gastly’s eyes widened, and it faded out of existence. You felt like you didn’t contribute much to that. Scolipede looked at you, eyes sorrowful and caring. You cautiously stuck your hand out. The bug lowered its head, rubbing its neck against your palm. You sighed with relief, still uneasy. You took out your Poke-Translator, bringing it up to the large creature. “S-say something.” You stammered, able to feel yourself shaking in fear. “Hi.” The Pokémon spoke, its voice seeming to be cheerful. “Oh, Lord…” You muttered under your breath, your knees giving into your weight. “Who are you?” It asked, lying down in front of you. “Uh…Y/N.” You responded, continuing the conversation. The Scolipede seemed to enjoy that you were answering its questions. “That’s a nice name! Mine is Chilan. Nice to meet you!” Your breath wavered as you felt your chest shudder as it rose and fell, “Sorry for scaring you earlier. I didn’t mean to worry you…” Chilan said, bowing their head in shame, almost whimpering. You smiled, petting their head. “Hey, don’t worry…It’s okay. You…did save my life…” You muttered, smile fading. “So…what are you doing here?” The bug-horse questioned, cocking their head. You sighed. “Nothing, really. I just wanted to take a walk…I didn’t want it to end up like this.” The Scolipede whined. “Sorry…I-” “No, don’t apologize…” You said sternly. “It’s okay…” You rubbed their head some more, scratching under their chin. “They’re…surprisingly cute.” You thought, feeling the softness of the bug’s body. “I thought Scolipedes were supposed to be aggressive, and hostile all the time? Why are you so nice?” Chilan shrugged. “I just want a friend…or…more than a friend…I guess.” You shrugged as well, looking into their eyes. “Want me to be your friend?”
The caterpillar’s eyes lit up like a bolt of lightning, that stood still and didn’t disappear. “Y-yes! I’d love that..!” You laughed. “Okay…friend.” You stuck out your hand, Chilan bringing themselves back to you. They lied down on their back, curling their legs towards themselves. You placed your hand on their belly, rubbing it gently. “You’re really docile and sweet, huh?” Chilan giggled, nodding sheepishly. “Yeah…I’m glad I didn’t scare you too much, though. Normally people just attack me if I’m running at them.” You looked at the bug, your smile fading. “Why do you run after them, then? Maybe if you didn’t do that, they wouldn’t be afraid.” Chilan nodded. “O-oh…that makes sense.” You patted their gut, noticing how soft it was. “Tomorrow, I can show you how to be better with humans…alright?” Chilan nodded, looking drowsy. “Alright…that sounds…good…” The bug type closed their eyes, set their head back and fell asleep. You looked around for a mattress, to no avail. You looked around for your headphones, which seem to have vanished. “Damn.” You said, stomping your foot. You looked at your new bug-friend, wondering if they’d mind. You decided they wouldn’t, and climbed on top of them. Under their hard, shell was soft and smooth. You felt yourself sinking in slightly as you climbed on top of them, laying down and keeping still. They were surprisingly thin, despite being slightly pudgy. That must’ve been how they evolve, though. You shrugged it off, feeling your own eyelids struggling to stay on top of you and slowly fell asleep. Hours passed, and when you woke up, you noticed how Chilan was wide awake. You could feel one of his arms gently petting you as you slept, but now that you were awake, it was more noticeable. “G-good morning..?” You stuttered, causing Chilan to freak. His arm shot back down, and he started blushing wildly. “Oh..! M-morning! Sorry, I…” You shrugged it off, getting off. “It’s fine.” You said quickly. “Come on…let’s give you some tips.” Chilan rolled himself over, his stomach growling. “Oh…well, I suppose we can have breakfast first.” It was 9:12 AM after all. You two went into the forest, looking for berries. “See anything?” You called, but didn’t hear a response. “Chilan..?” You looked around, but didn’t see your new friend anywhere. Instead all you saw was…oh, just an Espeon and Leafeon. Nothing too serious, or life threatening. That is, until you realize that they were after you…not the berries you had found. They charged at you, causing you to turn right around, and run in the opposite direction. You didn’t want to stick around, so you tried to get away from them. Unfortunately, they had found a way to take you down by themselves. They both charged up their attacks before… “GET AWAY FROM Y/N!” Chilan shrieked, tackling both the Espeon and Leafeon in their horns. The two struggled as they had been stabbed by the bug type’s massive head spikes, but to no avail. They tossed the two Eeveelutions across the forest, where they scrambled to their feet and limped off.
“Sorry for leaving you all alone..! This is all my fault!” Chilan apologized, almost crying. You shrugged it off. “It’s okay. Don’t worry about it. I’m just glad you didn’t leave me completely…” You said, shifting yourself closer to the large insect. “I only went to go find berries…I didn’t mean to leave you all alone.” You hugged them, causing their mouth to creep into a smile. “It’s okay…don’t bash yourself over it…simple mistake.” You pet the Scolipede, seeming to have feelings for the bug. “Are you okay?:” Chilan asked, looking you over. “Yes, yes. I’m fine.” You reassured them, attempting to calm them down. “Did…you find anything?” Chilan questioned. You nodded, pulling out a berry. “I found a few of these. How about you?” Chilan blushed slightly. “Whatever I found, I just…ate.” You giggled. “Should’ve washed them. Come on…let’s go back.” You said, turning around and walking back towards the house. Chilan followed you close behind, occasionally nudging you with their head. When you got back, you sat down on the ground with Chilan lying down next to you. You fed him generous amounts of berries, saving a few for yourself. “You…didn’t save very many for yourself…” You shrugged silently. “I don’t need to eat as much as you do.” Chilan laughed nervously. “Heh…yeah…” He got up to turn himself around and set himself down facing away from you. You couldn’t help but notice how his tail was so thick and short. Compared to other Pokémon, their tails were longer and thinner. Scolipedes however, have short and fat tails. You chuckled at the thought of squishing it, just to see how it felt. Chilan looked back at you, blushing heavily. “What are you looking at..?” He said, giving his tail a slight wiggle. You blushed lightly, averting your eyes from his rear. “Nothing.” You said suspiciously, darting your eyes around the room to find something to look at. They smiled smugly. “If you say so…” They said, turning their head back around. Suddenly, they got up again and backed up a bit, lying back down. They knew what you were looking at. They knew damn well. You felt your face heating up from embarrassment, attempting to remove the thought from your mind. “Chilan..?” You asked, managing to look at them. “Hm?” Chilan responded, looking back at you. “Can I show you something?” You asked, locking eyes with them. “I’ll need you to give me a ride, but I promise it’ll be worth it.” You added. They nodded slightly. “Hop on.” They said, lowering their front legs. They raised their rear higher into the air, causing your face to go more red. You both knew. You walked around, swinging your leg over their back before getting on and holding around their neck. The giant bug got up and trotted out of the house.
“Just up this hill.” You pointed, stating where the directions were. Chilan had made it to the top of the hill, panting slightly. “You okay buddy?” They nodded, licking your hand. “Thanks for asking. Just a bit out of shape. Happens from time to time.” You smiled warmly. “It’s fine to take a break. We’re here anyway.” You sat down in the grass, looking over the landscape. You could see a mountain range from where you were. A whole town, a forest, hell even a few Pokémon. The view was one to behold. The sun high in the sky, the beach reflecting the blinding and glimmering shines of the sun, the forest’s green tree tops and the town’s glowing lights. It was truly a sight to see. Chilan gasped slightly at the sight. “Wow…” They said under their breath. “This is…beautiful.” “Not as beautiful as you.” They thought, looking at you before looking back at the view. “I’m glad you showed me this…” They continued. You grinned. You felt joy and happiness spread through your body. “I’m glad I met you, Chilan. You’re really nice.” They blushed. “Aw…thanks.” You nodded, moving closer to the centipede-like horse. “Now comes for the best part.” You lied back, staring at the sky. They watched you, slowly lowering themselves down onto the grassy earth. You both stared at the sky, watching clouds float by. “Today’s a really nice day.” Chilan commented, sighing with relaxation. You nodded. “It is. I don’t think I ever want to go back to my old life after today.” Chilan muttered, their smile fading. You looked over. “You don’t have to…you can come live with me, if you want.” Their eyes beamed with joy, like even more lightning had struck. “You’re serious?!” They asked, rolling onto their belly. You nodded, smiling. “Hell yeah. Come live with me.” They couldn’t contain their excitement, whooping and hollering. You smiled, getting up. They continued to express their emotions by jumping around, accidentally bumping into you and knocking both of you over. You both rolled down the hill and onto each other. You looked in each others eyes. “I could just kiss you..!” Chilan said, still visibly excited. You wanted to refrain from saying this, but your mouth had other plans. “So why don’t you..?” You quickly moved a hand to your mouth, blushing heavily. Chilan grinned, blushing as well. “I mean…if...if you want me to.” “Yes.” You managed to squeak out again, covering your mouth with another hand.
The Scolipede moved their face closer to yours until you were inches apart from each other…until you made contact. You felt a rush. A sense of love and trust wash over you like you had been baptized. A soft moan escaped your lips as you felt how soft their lips were. Chilan pulled back, looking at your face, which had happened to be as red as blood. You looked at Chilan’s face, whose blush happened to be a bright gray. It was covering most of their face however, as you noticed their normal gray colour wasn’t as pale. Neither of you spoke for what seemed like hours. You both just stood still, staring at each other in deep thought. “I…I think I want to be better than friends…” You said reluctantly. Chilan’s smile quickly faded. “I’d like that to, but…” He looked down at the ground. “Isn’t it a little weird..? For a human to be in love with a Pokémon..?” You thought about it. It did seem weird, yes…but it was nothing too serious. Sure, it was probably frowned upon, but nobody could stop you. “Who cares if it’s weird..? I just want to know if you…feel the same.” Chilan looked back in your eyes. “O-of course..!” They said, licking the side of your face. You could feel your heart swelling with joy and love. You had just met this insect, and now you’re somehow in love with them. It’s odd, sure. But you don’t care. All you care about is the pure joy you both feel. “I…think I love you…” You said with a slight pause. Chilan lowered their head again, whispering to you seductively. “I know I love you.” They pressed their lips against you again before you could react. You closed your eyes, wrapping your arms around their neck. This was who saved you. This was who scared you. This was who loved you. This was who you loved.
