It's cool growing up reading Redwall and then, years later, seeing people make excellent artwork about it on DA. Artwork ranging from Ultra realistic like the American covers to cartoonish, to all areas in between.
It's kind of sad when I read the books and then have to be reminded who the bad guys were. But then again, there were only so many pictures and they were a different style.

Дамуг - первый ГЗ, с которым я познакомилась в этой серии: мне было тогда лет десять, по "Рэдволлу" еще не рисовала вовсе. Потом лапы до него не доходили, потом - доходили, но рисунки были так себе (образ не читался вовсе). А тут вспомнила, захотелось исправиться...

Wow, love the rat's impressive armour! Very well designed (and intimidating). I also like how you've blurred the background. It gives the picture a "completed" feeling, without making it too crowded or detracting from the main characters.

Спасибо, я, правда, малость промахнулась: в оригинале горностай, а я ласку нарисовала. Впрочем, не страшно: для ласки он все равно крупноват (рядом с Великокрысом видно).

Loved this guy, what an awesome villain. Went into the jig a great strategist and left it (and his existence) locked into combat with one of the most badass heroes in the book, even cutting up her face severely and blinding her. Not many vermin were able to do that kind of damage to a badger. xD

You just know she likely started out by ripping him out through the collar of his own armor or something. The books never were TOO detailed about the gory bits, but Long Patrol says something about Damug being nomore than "mangled remains," so you just know he had to have looked like he had jumped on a grenade or something. = P DX

Urgan Nagru and Silvamord are horribly underrated villains, they accomplished a whole lot more conquest than most other villains in the books! (Taking over a castle with no effort or siege and taking over the entire nation of Southward.) Vizka Longtooth was another amazing villain. = D
I loved a lot of the minor characters as well as main villains. Far too many to list unless you don't mind looking at every single name I put in my next message. xD

Main Villains: The Marlfox Siblings, Ungatt Trunn, Ublaz Madeyes, Damug Warfang, Lask Frildur, Princess Kurda, (Most people don't like her, but I found her to be a interesting character.) Riggu Felis, Tsarmina Greeneyes, Vilu Daskar, Vizka Longtooth, and Zwilt the Shade.
Minor Villains: Baliss The Slayer, Balur and his sister Hinso, Yund, Pitru, Barranca, Urgan Nagru's captain Bladetail, Bluggach, Brogg, (One of the bravest vermin in the books) Codj, Crosstooth, Deadglim, Dirgo, Doomeye, Eefera, Fleng, Foulwhisker, Freeta and her mate Shard, (Sad they don't have a lot of fan art of them. = ( ) Gliv, Grakk, Groddil, Kharanjul, Klitch, Lady Kaltag, (Crazy bitch. xD ) Mirefleck, (She acted like an experienced hordebeast and didn't seem the least bit scared of Ungatt Trunn when she screwed up on capturing Stonepaw, I found her very interesting for a minor character) Rasconza, Raventail, Captain Riftun, Ripfang (Doomeye's brother) Riptung, Romsca, Ruggan Borr, Saltar, (I loved his badassery and his taunts when he fought Gabool. This guy also really needs fanart of him. xD ), Dirril, (for her funny impression of Gruntan Kurdly) Tazzin, Vallug Bowbeast, (Soooo badass. XD ) Verdauga Greeneyes, Captain Vorto, Wurgg the Spinecracker, (The name makes me CRINGE! XD ) Yund, Zerig, and Zigu. xD
Phew! Told you I loved A LOT of the minor characters, some of them are more interesting than the main villains themselves sometimes. Freeta and Shard were more interesting villains than Gulo the Savage for example. xD

He wasn't a bad character, though I was a little disappointed with his death scene, I thought for a moment he was actually going to die like a true fighter in a honorable duel of blades. = P xD
I forgot to add Silvamord as a beast I'd love to see more of too, her husband got all the fan art. xD
But i'm not making requests or anything. I'm just saying it's sad you don't see much of these characters in Redwall fanart because even though a lot of them are minor characters, I see a lot of them as very interesting and underrated characters. You don't have to draw any of them if you don't want to. I'm not one of those assholes who harass artists or anything for artwork. xD = )
