Description
I needed to do something hopeful and warm and I felt that Jana would provide that perfectly. Jana is one of those lesser known characters that's actually really interesting to me. I wanted to give the whole piece a morning feel where Jana is checking the valley she lives in for the day, greeted by a smoking volcano and the cool stone of the cliff side with wet moss against her fingers. I don't know, its just something that stuck out to me and that was my primary focus for the color scheme. Painting wise, I went with a rough environment and smooth Jana look to make sure she stood out but was complimented by the rugged terrain. It's been some time since I worked with Deilson 's pencils and I need to make sure to do it again soon, I adore his work. I really hope you all like the piece, feedback and comments are always welcome!
