Amazing photo. From aesthetic point of view, what a magnificent pose. I love the way the head is angled and it seems to be looking at the viewer. The way the light falls on the face of the Iguana adds shadows to the opposite side of the reptile and hence, creates depth. One thing I cannot help but observe is how distracting the black object to the right is. Every time I am trying to focus on the reptile, the black object is distracting me.

One way to counteract the object on the right is to either crop the right side more. The other would be to have it in colour. The warm effect of the sun on the face of the reptile would have a pleasing effect and the blue sky would bring the reptile from into focus due to the contrast in colours. Also, it would help the viewer to focus on the reptile more. Negative space is important to bring about contrast as well and hopefully, with the photo in colour, there would be no need to crop the right side of the photo.

From technique standpoint, it is amazing! The perspective is amazing. Good work!

Thank you so much for such detailed feedback! :3 I've never thought about the black chunk before...now that you've pointed it out, it does seem rather distracting. -__- It's part of an old castle that I toured in Puerto Rico. I should try cropping it...it was so bright out that I think the colors would've seemed overbearing maybe. I don't think my camera skills were as developed when I took that trip and I remember this photograph particularly being way too bright. Or perhaps even a different angle would've made the stark black-white contrast a little less obvious? Ah anyways, good things to think about for my next photography trip. Thank you! ^_^
