No, those lightsabers or somewhat similars are in the SW universe already. They are described somewhat as prototypes of the most known "present" lightsabers.

Daaaang, that's good. I love this sort of... crossover, to put it loosely. This makes me realize I'd really love to see more moments like this depicted this way, moments that are less iconic than, say, the original trilogy.
I hope that was intelligible, I'm too tired to rewrite it more straightforwardly.

Damn... those saber battery packs, solid blades, and lighting adapters xD I'm no lore freak on Star Wars, but wasn't Revan during the Old Republic and Sith Empire?

Yep. Early lightsabers required bulky charge packs to power them. Dunno about why he drew the solid blades, but they actually make things in the Old Republic look just that: OLD. Star Wars could use more of that: Galactic society, design aesthetics and technology in that setting seem to have stayed roughly that same over 4000 years!
