The higher the rank and degree of focus one attains, the closer they are seen to be to the 'Starfather', the being who created humanity's universe. At the head of the temple is its 'Great Guide.'

Seeking to expand out to the stars, the Temple bought the necessary FTL tech and set out for a new planet to call its own. Though branches of the Temple still exist on Earth and throughout human space, it has its headquarters on the world of 'Pilgrim's Light' in a system called the 'Blessed Stars.'

The Temple continued a lot of the practices of the old Church of Scientology, such as extreme secrecy and interest in gaining profits. It is intent on becoming an economic power in its own right while having its own sector of space run as a quasi-theocracy.

However, it needs two things in order to do this: money and women.
