The Galapagos Islands are located at zero degrees latitude.
On the equator, the sun is directly overhead at noon on the two equinoxes.

Actually, the cero degrees latitude is in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
But this photo is breathtaking! I just can't belive it's real.
