Took me a solid minute to realize that this wasnt the main story line...
I was like... Jack is in a headlock and "fin ta nut" and Walker just got vibrated on...... Then slapped in the mouth in a bed.... Holy crap i was confused for a minute.

Yes, Cynthia is essentially shy and some of her reactions are often dictated by panic. Especially when Jack goes to touch "certain ropes", she feels unprepared and it's as if she looses control of herself.
