Facebook's memory feature tells me that today is two years since I first uploaded a preview of my own incarnation of the Doctor's new female form in honour of Jodie's imminent arrival on our screens.

As the TARDIS doors opened, raised voices could be heard.
"I'm telling you, Emily, I don't get to control my new appearance!"
"This is definitely going to take some getting used to," Emily exclaimed, "At least we don't sound alike too - where did you get that accent?"
"No idea - they just come with the bodies," replied the Doctor, "And we don't look the same - my hair's a completely different colour!"
"Doctor, we're practically identical! Has this really never happened before?"
"Okay, yes - once or twice I've ended up with a face I recognise, but not like this - not somebody... well, current... Look, if anybody asks, can't we just tell them that we're sisters or something?"
