This is what I thought as soon as Eugene (lol) cut her hair. Her blond hair suited her so much better, in my opinion. So, even though it saved her and all, I would've been freaking out at how short it was. She just lost 60+ ft of hair!
Fun times!
(Oh, and freakin loved the movie!!)

Oh, and when I watched 'Tangled ever after', and the part where Flynn goes "They still can't get my nose right!" I went "Well, it serves you right for giving your girl a unfit haircut."

i think it does grow back. i read on some website that it did. the only reason that bit was short was that Rupunzel kept it short. if you really think about it, one single brown strip in that much blonde hair would look strange.
anyway. i love this and i too hought she looked better as a blonde, it suited her personality more.

See I took "it turns brown and loses it's power" to mean just that. Just because her brown hair was still short after all those years doesn't mean it didn't grow (who is to say now that her hair is completely normal it will all grow normally), but that's just my thoughts ^_^

Kinda sad that along with losing her hair, she lost a mean of resourcefulness. No rope to climb on or tie around stuff, nothing to braid on her birthday, and no little hut to hide in from scary monsters.

oh and i think that once all her hair was cut, the spell (or powers idk whatever you want to call it) broke so now that she's free her hair will grow back normally. that's what i like to think.

I was wonering abot the not growing back thing. As someone who keeps my hair that length all the time, I wouldn't mind. But I have a feeling it will grow. Maybe she kept that baby brown strand short herself, because how rediculous would 70 feet of golden hair look with one 69 foot strand of brown in it?
I wonder how many times she'll reach for her hair to open a cabinet across the room and be like "Shoot..."

I don't think she would mind that much about the one strand. She didn't strike me as a very vain person. And, think, it would had been Mother Gothel cutting her hair when she was littler, since she wouldn't have been able to cut it herself. I could have sworn that I heard her say it couldn't grow back at one point. Ah well.
It's really going to take her awhile to adjust to the short hair! The poor thing.

After having seen the movie four times, she says, "Once it's cut, it turns brown and loses its power."
I don't know if anyone said that yet or not, but she didn't really say that it didn't grow back. We just all assume that it won't since her one brown area of hair was still short. I agree about the Gothel theory there.
But yeah, possible loophole there.

Glad my over-obsessive-ness with this movie could help someone! I think it's possible that it could, but maybe it won't.
I'm kind of hoping Disney leaves the movie alone. I don't want them ruining it. Sadly, that would mean that we'll never know.

Seriously, I thought she looked sooo much better with the short brown hair. I was really shocked that they actually had the guts to cut it all off, but I'm proud of Disney, that they would do that. She actually looks like her father and mother now, and the short hair gives her more personality and spunk, and honestly, how many princesses have you seen with long flowing, long, blonde hair? It's like the staple princess look, totally unoriginal. Now a princess with a brown pixie cut? That's new, that's funky, that's Rapunzel...
But that's just me XD

It was pretty brave of them to do the short 'do, I agree. But throughout the whole movie I got attached to the long blond hair she had, it kind of added to her naive (slightly ditsy) nature. The way it framed her face was different as well, and I enjoyed how it looked before. But I do love how she looked more like her father and mother at the end. And the huggles
Just one more thing, the picture's supposed to focus on her own feelings on the haircut. She just lost FEET of hair, so it would feel really weird for a while afterwords. A friend of mine got a really severe haircut a while back, it took her a long time to get used to it.

I can understand getting attached to the hair. It was what made Rapunzel who she is after all, but I still think she's better with the short brown hair.
Lol Also, I used to have very long hair and cut it all off in one go. I found it to be one of the best decisions of my life XD. Yes it's a big thing, especially when it's magical hair, I'd imagine it would be a loss, but at the same time, I don't picture Rapunzel as being the type of girl who would get that worked up about it. Sure, she lost her hair, but she also revived the love of her life and found her real family. I think she would appreciate that more then her hair.
At the same time, Everyone can interpret things their own way, and It's still good artwork none-the-less. I just picture it differently myself. And You don't sound like ranting at all. I left you a long comment, I expected a long reply.

Oh, I loved the artwork in the movie. I seriously got chills when all the lanterns were going up. It was so beautiful. .
I feel tempted to lob all my hair off sometimes, too. But, I have thick hair, I feel as though I would get a fro if it was too short. Blah.

Yeah and remember that a human loses a lot of hair every day. And then it grows back so you never have to worry about that. But Rapunzels' doesn't grow back so she'll be bald in a few years xD
