I have not seen a single fanart of these two girls confronted, and if there's a strong reason which would make them battle each other fiercely, that would be Ash, no doubt. This is never gonna end, is it? Every so many years they'll introduce a new generation of games and make the female character from it Ash's new traveling partner and a new ship will be born, destined to fight with all the ones that came before it. It's too bad they haven't brought Misty back as a main character, those last couple seasons she was in they made a couple jokes about Ash and Misty being a couple.
Misty's new outfit is pretty neat, and it's definately interesting seeing Ash in the FireRed outfit.
