This pic is part one of a 3 pic series...the following two will be of Sasuke and then finally Naruto. The red cord will follow them each throughout the pictures.*sigh*
Okay. So. I'm REALLY nervous about this pic. I love it but I'm very scared that I'm seeing it through *ahem* the 'veil of my imagination.' Sometimes I see things so clearly in me head that when I do draw them on paper I have a hard time seeing the problems with them.
So please do no hesistate to give constructive crits. I welcome them with open arms. How have I screwed this pic up and can I still fix it?
Funnily enough, I've spend more time on this image than I do most of my images. 0_0 The original is huge...around 10 x12 inches.

i'm listening to music right now, and what's odd is that the song 'Cry of the Blackbirds' goes pretty well with the series of pictures.

OMG.. [stares in awe and drools] You draw him beautifully. The the bird on his left upside down? That's the only thing that looked off. Everything else is awesome. *__*
May I know if all this done in Photoshop or other photo editing program? I can't ever imagine making those colours with just markers or paint.

Amazing! You hit the jackpot by drawing Itachi in such an alluring way...making me

stunning. the background is startlingly, as someone else put it, dynamic. two things stand out to me, one of which has already been mentioned. One, the headband looks flat...if there's light...there's shadow and texture. Two, same deal for his nails. i'm not sure if you were going for a matte finnish polish, but even then there would be some variation in the tone. the only reason i mention these two is because you've already done such a wonderful job of lighting. well done.

The way you did the hand was... for lack of a better word 'great'. Forshorting is hard...
I like how you did the solid black on the shirt. It gives it a very nice touch, and also the black nail polish... very nice.
Also giving his hair a reddish-brown tint was smart to distinguish his hair from his shirt... you so clever. 
Everything ties together so well!
The black shirt and nails with the crows and the reddish hair and eye with the cord... all on a neutral background!
Also... I am probably the only person who is going to say this...
But I like how you gave the 'thumb-nail' on his hand THICKNESS... makes it more realistic... Guess I am just saying that I appreciate all the little details you do I guess... or maybe I am a dork ^_^; but anywho...
Overall... it is Awe-SOME! (sheesh I need to expand my vocabulary, ne?) Also sorry about the ubber-ly long critique...

Very, very good. I can't stop staring at the solid black shapes. I like the way some of the birds are blurry, making them look like they're in motion. You're really good at cging (I think that's the right term) the sky.
Just wondering, why did you choose Itachi, Sasuke, and Naruto for a series? The way I imagined Naruto, he doesn't seem to quite fit with the other two. Unless.....
