you ever feel like the name "Lana" just... does not belong in the Zelda universe AT ALL??
like every other name of characters, and species in all the games is just, the best. So diverse, so fresh, so unique, and then......... LANA.
it's as if Reggie binge watched too much mulatto butts and then thought: "Screw it, we'll go with that".
I mean at least make the names rhyme, they're opposite halves of the same person right? Picture this: Cia.... and BIA. There you go! perfect match! Too easy. That took 1 second to come up with, and it already has better context!
... Granted, the name "Bia" does sound straight jank, but the point is illustrated all the same!

People have been saying since she was first revealed that Lana doesn't really fit in the Zelda universe, and I agree with them, but her name is the probably the farthest thing possible from the problem.

Good thing this game doesnt occur in actual canon and is just a hack and slash spin off game. Its almost like its a Dynasty Warriors game with Zelda characters.

This is what is called underthinking.
Just because it's "not canon" (whatever that actually means in a series where most entries are literally centuries removed from each other,) doesn't mean it shouldn't adhere to the Zelda aesthetic, which it usually does. Lana is a glaring exception, and she stands out even in the context of the game.
