Beast: Look. On the one hand, I'm a 20 foot tall forest monster with an appetite for human flesh.
Fox Hunter: Mm, go on?
Beast: ... that's it, that's where people usually surrender.
Fox Hunter: Well, I say, old sport. You're not making a very good case for yourself, now, are you?
Beast: How so?
Fox Hunter: Well, where's the other hand, for starters? You can't rightly start a good threat with "on the one hand" and leave it at that.
Beast: Why not?!
Fox Hunter: Well, it leaves the audience wanting more, you see! Even if the other hand is more of the same, at least you've let the other shoe drop.
Beast: Well, I mean... I was thinking about doing this whole "cryptic eldritch creature" bit...
Fox Hunter: Hmm, might fancy a go for something like that! Come on, then, tut tut! Show us what you have, my boy!
