Refining some of the Under the Star designs, including some new ideas because I'm back to planning it as a Fire-Emblem-alike tactical RPG. Yes I am continuing to do lazy flat colours for now; I just hate colouring, it takes so much energy. I will do it eventually, because I need the practice, but right now I'd rather get nice lineart and colour referenced finished.

Revised character design for Reishi, the stoic giant who is amongst the many factions trying to kidnap Sei at the beginning of the story. Reishi seems to be working for the UAG/Overworld army at first, but wears a uniform bearing the regalia of the shoyo imperial house. Our heroes also won't see those bishounen-ly good looks until much later in the game, because how could you think that face was evil?

Personality-wise, Reishi is a jaded individual who doesn't talk much, prefers to end fights as quickly as possible, and has a surprising pacifistic streak. That giant battering ram is technically non-lethal, no matter how many ribs it may break.

I'm quite pleased with this design. The upper body is still giving me a bit of annoyance, but I love that skirt/leg armour - I think it's probably the best I've designed. It really looks like it would work, to me ^^ And I included a ponytail this time to add a little more "Sir Dreamy" appeal
