Description
"Come," said the Lord, "I command you from those walls. Do not fear for I am the Lord, creator of your kind."
From my hiding place I slunk. Wounded, beaten by the Dark One, moving ever slowly towards the One called Dayspring.
As I moved closer, His kind autumn eyes welled with tears and He knelt before me. I paused, hesitant and my heart dropping at His humility.
His scarred hands beckoned me.
"Come, come my daughter. I will heal you."
My whole chest swelled with the scent of His mercy. With a few more faltering steps I collapsed into His arms knocking us both to the dusty ground. I whined apologetically and tried to push myself back out of His arms for my clumsiness, but I only felt the hole filled hands further surround me and pull me closer. Submissvely I lowered myself upon His lap and the arms embraced tigher.
With my sensitive ears I could hear His heartbeat pattering loudly like a summer thunderstorm and my fur was becoming less and less matted with blood and dirt. He was healing me.
Peace began to settle my weary body and His kind words echoed in my ears as I swiftly commited to sleep.
"Rest. I wll keep guard over you forever more, my dearest sister of the wild."
