While everyone has their own definition to what it means to be alive, I don't have any solid definition of my own. However, I can tell you that I feel the most alive when I'm making the most of whatever situation I'm in. Making the most of it doesn't necessarily mean trying to find the good in every situation, but taking in the esscance and the energy of life.
This photo of April is a wonderful example. Although it is winter and it is cold out, April makes the most of the situation. She knows that while it may be cold out, this weather is perfect for sunbathing, something she can't do often in the summer because of he intense heat. You can also tell that she is in bliss, taking in the sun's rays. To me, the rays of sunlight represent the essance of life, the essance that can be felt in good times and in bad.
To me, life is something very precious, no matter how many horrible things are going on. To me, feeling alive means making the most of whatever situation life throws at you and taking it all in.
