Description A stylized dragon sits at the center of a labyrinth of colorful Celtic knotwork and spirals. Is it a prison for this mythical creature or the dragon's lair?

This is hand-drawn, then scanned and colored digitally.

Lovely work! I admire anyone who has the patience to do knot work.

Thanks so much! Like I said to another commenter... I almost get overwhelmed with color choices when I first start on that - I think that might be harder than the knotwork - LOL.

I can see it would.. if you put so many different patterns in there

Great work.. The knotwork on its own is really good but the colours help make it look perfect.

Thanks!! I always stumble with the colors at first, since it's like starting with a blank page in a coloring book and you can go in any color theme direction you want. So I appreciate your comment.

Wow, looks great! Are you entering it in the contest? It has right-angled triangles and swirls...

I absolutely love this, it's very beautiful!
I love dragons so I would like to think of this as it's lair... Well done!

Thanks! I like the lair idea too. Besides - who could cage a dragon?

Oooo... that would make a lovely tapestry! While it would be very nice as a print, as well, the textures and dimension of an old style tapestry would make it truly magical!

Yes - I had the exact same thought, actually! Now if only DA or CafePress would do weave-on-demand....

Thanks!
