Well, since I went from start to finish with a color piece, I figured next I should do the same with something toned :3 Why did I draw it so tiny (as in canvas size) I have no idea XD
This is Mikoto Uchiha, Sasuke's mom, holding her little baby duckbutt in her arms one last time. This scene is more metaphorical than anything, as we all know that she was alive until he was at least like...seven lol But for some reason I'm hooked on mothers and sons at the moment, and I thought a little baby Sauce would have more impact ^^
Now, I do NOT normally do this, but this pic was actually requested by Billy1028 in a matter of speaking. He just asked if I could draw Mikoto Uchiha, I was hit with inspiration for this pic, and walah, magic happened XP
Please, I do NOT take requests though. You can ask, but I make no guarantees when or even IF I will draw what you ask for. I've just got too much on my plate to do willy-nilly drawings for everyone and their dog XP
However! If you'd like a guarantee that I'll draw your pic, I'm always open for commissions ^^ For something like this pic, which is just toned with a simple BG, my prices are actually pretty cheap. It's when you get into the color stuff that it gets pricey. But even colored things can be as low as thirty bucks ^_^
Speaking of that, I will probably be lowering my prices on ALL commissions from here on out, simply because it takes less work on my part to finish things now. Less work means I need less compensation. So everyone wins
Also, I DO take simple little commissions, like sketches and chibis. So whatever you ask for doesn't HAVE to be some big, drawn out, epic scene.

OMG!!! This is sooo sad i really wish that Sauce get a moment like this with his Mother but of course hes now older the hug would be like she's hugging him to her chest and crying for him to stop what his doing , Because Sauce loved his Mother so much

I can't write an "official" critique since i'm not a premium member... but here's my
Starting with the "needs-to-be-worked-on"s to end with a happy note. ^^
- what bothers me is the most is her left hand. it looks rather... awkward and unnatural. it may be the position of the blanket underneath, but i think that you're showing too much of the back of her hand. if r hand is resting UNDER Baby Duckbutt's head, then we should only really be able to see it from the side. Try holding a softball in your hand in the same way and looking in the mirror and you'll see.
- where is the rest of the baby's body? there's his head and some of his chest, but when you get down lower it looks like mom is resting her arm right against her body. and with the size of baby's head, there's no way he's that tiny.
- where's mom's right hand? 
now... the good things!
- the toning is BEAUTIFUL. i really love the contrast especially of her dress with the blanket
- very good job on her form as well. your females are really looking very feminine now, and you've improved a TON.
- very god job on portraying the emotion. my heart aches just looking at her face and the tenderness she has for her little baby, and the yearning and longing to still be with him.
- i really like the emphasis you placed on different pieces of the drawing. my eyes go right to her face (after reading the words), and stay there for a good long while before following her eyeline down to the baby, and then travel down to see the rest of the details.
over all, i really like it very much! i am just very picky about how babies are portrayed because i am a sucker for them and they are not portrayed very much in manga, and even then, not very accuratly some of the time, and i really want to help you to improve. ^^ to really work on babies and especially how to hold them, i really recommend seeing them live and in person, if you know anybody who had a baby recently. it helps to hold one yourself so then you can understand how to portray it in your art.

haha wow, sorry for the late reply but this is a LONG comment. I feel bad because my reply won't be half as long XDD
I see your points on all counts, and as it is with most of my work, a week later I feel like it's crap because I've already improved enough to see the flaws XDD So, I have no arguments with everything you've said *nods* I shall do my best to do better in the future, keeping your words in mind.
Thanks a bunch for giving me negative AND positive criticism though. I don't get that very often, and it's just the kind of crit that I pride myself on giving

Really great in it's tenderness. I can feel her sadness through the screen, and I began to ache for Sasuke again. It makes me smile a little though, because I think I'm getting a good idea how Naruto is going to save Sasuke's soul.
