Luna heard that you like her socks....This one was great fun to do, and inspired by a recent wave of Luna images sweeping the Ponyverse, started by the lovely [link] Of course socks = hooves, in my mind, and we end up with this. :3 Sketched it this morning, been working away at it all day - probably took about six-seven hours total, for those of you who wonder this sort of thing.
The window was done directly on the background paper, by the way, outlined in painter's tape on the watercolor paper. I then painted the purple night sky in acrylic and watercolor and peeled away the tape to create a window effect! I hope you like it.
Oh, and that was a heck of a pose to get right....
And I got all this done just in time for Brony Appreciation Day! Happy Brony Day 2011!!!!

Dim' Prismacolor pencils are awesome! I mainly see them applied to Luna's body but where else did you apply them at?

Gee, I never noticed what a nice set of haunches Princess Luna has on top of those sleek, pretty legs. To me it just looks like faun scene where she's having a silly-girl moment as she peels off her socks. (You have a thing for adorable tongue gestures, don't you?
Along with her overall attitude, Princess Luna is quite a lovely pony here. I also like the way you used the border for the wall, and the stars and lights outside the tree-themed window look amazing with the extra splashes of color. There are also some faint shapes to what's outside, and it almost looks like there's a new moon (with a bit of earthshine) in the pane closest to Luna's head; then there's a "rainbow of dark aurora" coming down. Yeah, it's probably pareidolia, but you don't want to know what else it sort of looks like. Oooh.
P.S. A missing friend turned up recently, a sketch-to-digital type, and I passed along your Art Manifesto . His immediate comment was, "I want to marry this woman." So watch out!

i find this so alluring and all they are, are socks, common socks, its the charm of the pic perhaps, the playful way you have her tongue sticking out, its so sexy and its not even explicit, luna herd right, i love her socks and would do anything to put them on her, this might inspire a fic and i swore i wasnt going to write clop anymore *hot and bothered*

Seriously, oh my gosh. You always do hooves really, really, REALLY well but this just knocks it out of the park. Add the whole "taking off socks" thing and... oh my, you make me feel things I most certainly should not feel :c
