It spawned a new AU in my damn head instantly. Not sure if Predator AU is a thing anywhere, but what if monsters ACTUALLY ATE HUMANS AS FOOD and the substitute on Mettaton's cooking show is what they are reduced to developed by Dr. Alphys to keep everyone going while they wait for escape?!

So when chara fell down asriel found her and decided to keep her as a pet but chara actually fell down the pit because she was gonna try and kill the king to save humanity that or so she could rule over the monsters and destroy humanity but that's what I think happened I'm not really sure what goes on in this AU

A few other awful ideas you can use: Undyne might have a skewed perception of how much blood a person can lose and still survive (AKA anime sword fighting logic).
Alphys may have only ever gotten a hold of 1 living human subject if she's lucky, and goodness knows if she knows how to properly and safely take samples. I can already see the scalpel machine of doom. But she might know that, if she prepares it right and patches up the human right, she can take off entire arms or legs without killing them...
