Description
A drawing of Nelius from my novel The Wind & the Foxes. Nelius is a sorcerer who lives in near-complete isolation, with no companion but a not-so-friendly ghost.I wanted to draw him with his "shades"--they're sorcerous constructs made of shadow and smoke. He has made two of them, out of pieces of his own shadow. The shades have a very limited sentience. They respond to Nelius's will. Though generally amorphous, the sorcery that animates them does allow them to solidify temporarily when necessary.
