So, two weeks ago my favorite Pokemon fanfic "Ashes of the Past" reached chapter 100 (OVER 500,000 WORDS!!!) just as I finally caught up on it, and I was so freaking amazed by it (I kid you not, feels were exploding everywhere) that I promised the author I'd draw scenes of their choice.

This is one of them. Ash chasing Suicune across the Kanto region, chapter 72. I said I'd be done last weekend, but I couldn't make the background how I imagined it in my head (or, as is very clear from the beautiful descriptions in the fic, what the author wanted), so I needed a week to cool off and return fresh to it.

That, and there's also the fact that I'm still painfully slow at drawing.

As for the fic, YOU GOTTA READ IT. tbh I only vaguely remember the episodes and I watched a few Pokemon movies, but it's still easy to follow the fic if you google how some pokemon look like and just roll with it (tbh it's kinda like a pokemon documentary, I learned lots from it). It's a timetravel story with Ash returning to the first day of his journey, all his friends and pokemon remembering and being overpowered (and he keeps that Pidgeot that can break the sound barrier! 8D), not to mention Team Rocket is AWESOME and good and THE WHOLE ORGANIZATION IS AWESOME AND ASH CATCHES LEGENDARIES AND HE'S ACTUALLY FAMOUS ENOUGH TO BE KNOWN AS THE GYM DESTROYER AND THERE'S MEGA EVOLUTION- BUT, all the major battles are heck of a lot harder, so it's not like Ash tramples his way through everything with overpowered pokemon.
