Description Just for the curious. ~SnakeBlue asked me to upload a closer look of the model, so here it is.

Made them myself. My second attempt, third if I include the smaller version I made to time myself (4 hours).

Time needed:
It took me a whole weekend the first (I was new at this) and second time (I was lazy). But it DOES take a whole day just to prepare the feathers, unless you're creative with a hair-dryer.

Used:
- 3 types of feathers (60-70 small, 20 middle to large, 30 large) made from a stack of A4 paper
- cardboard to make a skeleton
- white tempera (half a liter of it? yeah, something like that)
- elastic band
- cardboard glue

Process:
(It's really not so hard, if even I got it right )
- Make a skeleton out of the cardboard. Shape it like a rounded square, make a zig-zag on each side and end that zig-zag in a half-circle. That's the best way I can describe it.
- Feathers: Use whichever size will work for you. I used large (2 per one A4 paper-length), middle to large (4-5 per an A4 paper-width), and small (5-6 per an A4 paper-width)
- The time-taking part: unless you buy thicker paper, and that's inconvenient since it costs more, paint every feather with a tempera color of your choice. Paint it on one side, dry, then paint on other side and dry. Don't do both sides at the same time, or they'll get glued to the paper below and tear, assuming you're working on newspaper to not spread the mess.
- For drying, I recommend a hair-dryer, makes the job so much easier. Only problem: dry one per one, or you'll have your feathers flying around the room. After all, paper doesn't do good in wind.
- When dried, make small cuts in feathers to make them LOOK like feathers, then fold in half so it can stretch outwards when glued and have more volume.
- Paint skeleton with the same tempera color too.
- Put 4 holes in the skeleton, 2 near the upper edges and 2 near the lower edges of the rounded square. Pull the elastic band through those holes. Make them tighter so the wings aren't too loose later.
- Glue large feathers on edges of the circles as you see in the pic. I had 8 on every side.
- Middle to large feathers go on large ones, a bit more towards the middle.
- Small feathers practically on everything else as you can see. They also cover up the beginning of the large feathers. Just be careful to always position them so the part where the feathers are glued isn't seen.
- leave to dry, preferably hung in the air so the feathers aren't squashed. 6 hours should be enough, but do 24 to be sure.

As for the size: well, in full length they just about block you from going through a doorway. Best make your skeleton small, some 60-80cm in width altogether, cuz you'll think it's too small until you add the big feathers.

I also recommend to cut the skeleton so you can fold the wings. You know, so you can just pull your hands back and fold them when you need to pass through a doorway

That's all. Phew, how much writing. Hope someone finds this information useful!

if only, I haven't got either.
time is not on my side and enthusiasm has never been my thing.
(determination though, that I have plenty of.)

absolutely, I'll send you a picture if you like.
(the puppy in my room says I can't make any wings till I finish putting the flame on his candle at the very least.
that'll be a picture to share, if it works, hand made fake fire.)

8I know)

Thanks, and I really don't know which ones are better. The former have visible beginnings of feathers so it's messy, but they still appeared more 'longer'. These ones are prettier, but they have a bit more rounded shape, like they're one big ball. Ah well.

As said, a whole weekend, because I was partly lazy and kept constantly going to the computer to read fanfiction and I took some pauses between gluing to let the glue dry.
I have one pic from the carnival in my gallery, tho they're not really visible as they're mostly folded...
