Description The Skyline of Jumeirah Lakes Towers

A vast area of residential and commercial towers erected since 2006 viewed from outside the city. I roughly estimate about 70% of the office space already built in this area is vacant and still some towers are rising, while others seem halted half way in development.

JLT on wikipedia: [link] ->"The project is estimated to have a resident population of around 60,000 and a working population of another 120,000; it will include 5 children playgrounds, 3 mosques, a police station, a civil defense station and other facilities."

Given the tone of this image, the rusty-ish looking foreground with it's random construction-leftovers, and the majority of the buildings being still incomplete ... it looks more like a post-apocalyptic scenario.
Mostly the one big, more finished-looking skyscrapper on the left is hindering to this effect.

now, this is a scenery that could be exploited to the max!
(asides from that one skyscrapper, it's litterally in the way of the vision)

Imagine, a guy sitting at that tree, wearing dirty clothes, being a bit dirty himself and all, looking at the apocalyptic-looking buildings ... but he eats icecream. How much of an awesome contrast would that be.
"I'm in ur apocalypse, but I don't care. Om nom nom." Lols.

as a matter of fact, the colors in the image are almost straight off the camera... i guess its the tone of light you get around sunset with all the dust in the air...
