Description The Painter's Palette was made in Apophysis2.09 and PSP X, using the Metallic Gold Gradient from my PSP X gradient pack for Apophysis:

This render took 14 hours at 20k quality!
*apparently zips and rars aren't allowed in the fractal category so it's in the wallpaper/fractal category
Kind of eliminates the possibility of a fractal DD, not that I would get one for it

Download includes the resolution sizes:
1920 x 1200
1920 x 1080
1600 x 1200
1024 x 768
(Smaller sizes were re-sized down from the largest pic)
*full view suggested*
*apparently zips and rars aren't allowed in the fractal category so it's in the wallpaper/fractal category.
Kind of eliminates the possibility of getting a fractal DD from it, not that it would get one anyway

VERY 3D!! Plastic looking!!! Embossed too

thanks, the plastic look comes from using 20k quality on devs that use blur/preblur/noise, lower Q it comes out grainy (it still is a tiny bit on the edges) although you could probably get away with 10k, I have a habit of using 20k which is why the render took so long, the embossed look was just a lucky accident

yeah I was just testing my PSP X gradients and I used the one that's my fave in PSP X, so it's kind of fugly, kind of like dead leaves, color swap it in Irfanview or PhotoFiltre, the blue version looks cool

oh sorry, I don't upload duplicates (usually), what I meant was if you downloaded it you could do a color swap on it (I do this in IrFanview or Photofiltre, Photofiltre is better because you can instantly change to the different colors without having to reload the pic) to see the other versions (pink, green, purple, blue)

The 14 hours render show. It's beautifully clear and smooth.

Thanks, I don't care much about DD's anyway, I got one once but it was for a fractal resource (script) not my artwork

gave me a DD for a fractal manipulation three years ago. I was very surprised. It was unusual but not very interesting. I used a very limited programme called FractalTrees. The programme didn't even render and I made my pic with screen shots in PSP. Lol!
I got another six months ago for a fractal stock image. I was very embarrassed because I hadn't mentioned that I'd made it from a stock flame.
Frankly TJ, DDs don't impress me. They give a lot of work replying. For me they are just a way of getting us all to make more pageviews to boost the company's value.
Your avatar is fun!

Thanks I was making a simba pic in apo and took a break and I used the sprites I had from the lion king sheet to make that, I couldn't figure out how to do the moving background so I just made it transparent

I couldn't do that at all. I've never tried animations.

I think you could, it's not that hard, I use Jasc Animation Shop 3 which is very easy to use, the hard part for avatars is getting them under the dA avatar file size limit (I forget how many kb it was, but I know I've tried to upload one that was too big before)
