Thank you. I've been exploring the transforms in sam.uxf ~s31415 is the author of those and has some really great parameters that demonstrate them on his website.

Thank you, Kirsty. To be honest, your work has been quite inspirational in getting me to look beyond spirals and more traditional fractals.

This would make an awesome pattern on shirts! I like the red random squares that makes up the quilt.

I'm stuck on "Range lite" and one of my strange textures I got from an SFBM formula. They can be found in over 50% of my work.

Thank you, Robert. I've been really fascinated by ~s31415 's work both here and on his website where he has posted some of his older parameters. *fractek 's fractals are also having some influence on what I'd like to do.

I like the basic idea for this quilt. I like the main design and the free-motion quilting and the colors look great.
My problem with it is the large shapes. I know that they make this a contemporary, abstract version of a quilt but IMHO, it doesn't work for a fractal quilt. There should be either no shapes at all or more of them and more symmetry in the placement of them.
Overall, this is pretty cool.
I've been working on an idea for a fractal quilt, too, but very different from this one.

Thank you for your honesty, Kat. I really appreciate your helpful suggestions. This taught me that I should take the time and go through my masking class lessons and maybe sign up to take it over as I had a hard time getting the different shapes to work the way I wanted. The one thing I will say though, is it needed some asymmetry but perhaps the circle could be smaller or the quilting less prominent.

If you don't mind...
As a quilter, I think that if you're gonna use circles, use more of them, make them different sizes and spread them around the quilt. There don't have to be many of them, but just having one makes it seem out of place. Also, if I were going to quilt this, all the circles would have circular quilting and the angular areas would have angular quilting.
SFMB II has the perfect textures for quilting, doesn't it?
