i have not forgiven you for fooling me to drink that tea

Thank you very much.

You didn't follow instructions. But if the lights didn't start blinking until after you had some tea, you should be fine.

Phew... I just heard some voices, but realized it just was my dogs talking to me, so I'm totally fine. I drank a bucket of coffee, so I'll recover quickly

You are welcome

Ooh, I had a nice trip through it, and the tea tastes delicious.

You drank the tea? Oh dear. Were the lights blinking?

I..I first believed that to be coffee. A.. and so I drank it. The taste was *sob* nice *sob* *rocking to and from in a corner* But... but... YOUMADEMEDRINKIT!!!! ITSYOURFAULT!!!!

It isn't my fault. You did not read the instructions for viewing carefully; there is nothing about drinking the tea there.

I am not sure what Eveleth is or MN or an iron range but it reminds me of diiferent kinds of wallpaper hanging somewhere to show them..in a shop or so..just not sure what the blinking lights mean...never mind..it is absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you very much.

The Iron Range is an area in Northeast Minnesota where they mine iron ore which is then shipped to Pittsburgh to make steel.

I have the animated version of UF but other than looking at the examples, I've never played with it. You wouldn't have a spare roundtuit, would you?

This gives me the impression of a very classy, quiet, older, Art Deco office building, the kind with brass and marble and an elevator that used to use an elevator operator.

It specifically makes me think of the Medical Arts Building in downtown Minneapolis: [link] [link]

(There's a picture of everything on the net, isn't there?)

FractalEyes In reply to LaPurr [2013-01-26 18:51:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Kat. I definitely saw the Art Deco while working on this and perhaps I should have used smoother, polished textures instead of the rusty, grungy ones I chose but using a Barnsley made me think of =Jimpan1973 with his wonderful 'industrial' textures and that, in turn, reminds me of the Iron Range.

"You can never go home again"... but you can never quite leave it either.

If I could survive on virtual food and sleep on a virtual bed... I would live online because there is a lot of everything on the net.

This is a great piece, the textures are wonderful. I've never been able to wrestle a Barnsley into submission so carefully crafted pieces like this one always pique my interest. This one has a suggestion of an old fashioned but stylish hotel with expensive decor, as though we, the viewers, are looking out through the lift (elevator) doors into a corridor.

Thank you very much, Chris. Barnsley can be stubborn; I resorted to "Deluxe Clipping" to isolate a couple areas.

I really like your interpretation, it's much more poetic than than taconite plants.

1)...Isn't there snow on the ground there now?
2)....When can I let it out?
3)...I can see you did it , when I close my eyes.
4) ....Well I'll be...there they go blinking again!

...couldn't resist a little silliness! Your fractal has strength...an interesting, busy composition, that really works well...the colors are cold and they make me think of the facade of a building, possibly suits on Wall Street.

FractalEyes In reply to teddybearcholla [2013-01-26 01:26:57 +0000 UTC]

1. I heard they don't have much snow this year but a few days ago the temperature was about -50(F) with the windchill.
2. Let it out now (if you haven't already). I knew I forgot something
3. If only I had more time and energy... perhaps a few more brain cells
4. Awesome!

As I was working on this, I was reminded of the colors of the taconite industry where I grew up in Minnesota.

!. That is damn cold.
2. whew...thank you...remember that next time, or you'll have a lot of blue people in the audience
3. I have that same problem...and then suddenly I have a spurt of energy...but still the missing brain cells
4. I think you covered it

..Interesting. Have a beautiful evening.
