OH thanks! Sometimes when I'm in a slump I'll
go back and play with parms that are easy to change
and always produce something descent and that seems
to change my outlook and output.

I think I need to try that... or something different from what I've been doing. I'm in a BIG slump. I hate everything I do... and I don't want to just "do something" and have it not be up to my usual standards... so I haven't done anything. What I've posted lately are ones I rendered at least a year ago!

OH give it a try! It works for me quite often. Just
pick one or two that were easy to produce something
nice with from the past and tweak away. It might break
the slump!

Nope, it can't, and as you say it might break my slump. Sometimes doing tutorials does that for me, but the one I tried I screwed up and haven't had time to try it again.

Yes, I've found that too. I just opened my Apo a little bit ago and am going through my random batch right now seeing if there is anything there worth keeping. If not, I'll open some old flames and see what I can find.

I always look thru the images produced by the files
and try and remember what it was like creating them.
When I find something I like I check the date, then
go find the file and start re tweaking!!!

I usually save them into files. Like I have ones that I call "organic". I have hundreds and hundreds of parameters in five different files. Gosh... let me see what I have for files.

Well at least you have some kind of organization! Mine are just saved
separately in one folder but I name everything by date and the name is usually
the same as the date for the file info. Seems easier for me to find that way.

And for me it seemed to work best to keep them by type. And within those files I have lots and lots of flames. Each person has their own way of organizing things. And I think it might make a difference between Apo and UF too.

Yeah... that would be sooo nice. I have those homemade ones that are filled with rice and you heat them up in the microwave. Gosh, those are AWESOME. The heat lasts for quite a while. BUT... it wouldn't last all night. So I'm turning the heating pad on low and sleeping on it. Sometimes it's even on my back.

Me too. Fibromyalgia is a funny thing. It isn't gonna kill me, but it can sure make me wish it would. I've had pain so bad that even oxycodone wouldn't touch it. Luckily I'm not in that kind of pain right now. It's just bad... not super bad.

I've been having some nasty chest pain all day again!
It was really bad this morning (a little worse then when
I went to the hospital last week). I tried calling my
doctor but she doesn't work on Tuesdays! I hope I make
it through the night without having to go to the ER again!

I think she works at a hospital on Tuesdays (I think)
but her little practice here is closed.(on Tuesday)
This really sucks! Life seems to be getting a little better
for me, I find out I have so many great friends, I get
a much nicer computer, a website to play with, etc and
now my heart is quitting on me! I would have liked to know
what it's like to make a sale on my site (to make it all
worthwhile) and many other things before checking out!
I guess we don't get to decide such things!

Somethings definitely seriously wrong but they
don't know what and it seems to me they just generate
lots of income for the profession. The medical industry
is a business and not a service.
I'm sorry to make ya feel that way! I have a habit of
being way to honest and just saying what's on my mind.
Please don't worry about it! If it's my time there's
nothing anyone can do about it!
It sucks every time this kind of thing happens wondering
if this is the one that's gonna get me! It's a hard thing
to get use to.
I just have to make it through the night and I'll get to
the doctor tomorrow, but I'm sure she'll just say get to
the hospital. It will be a repeat of last week.

No, sir, you don't need to keep those things to yourself. I care and that's why I get upset. But as I told you last time, I'd much rather know than not know. I do wish I was up there so I could help. That's me... I like to help others and when I can't I feel helpless and that makes me cry... or get furious. And there's no reason to get furious with you so I cry. Besides... as I've said before and I'll say again, I care.
YOU didn't make me feel one way or another so you can't take the blame for that.
Please continue to be honest. I'll try not to freak out on ya. If I start just remind me that I said I wouldn't, K? That'll snap me out of it.

I hope so!! I never really know anymore! How much
luck can one guy have! I'm not superstitious but
maybe braggin I cheated death caused some kind of karma!
I've had so many, how many more before the big one!
Most people seem to freak out when I tell them what's
going on. I guess that's why I just keep quiet (except
to you) and wait for it.
Not sure how I got so lucky to have such a great friend
but I really appreciate it very much! Not real sure the couple
of lifelong friends I have care that much.
I haven't slept in a couple of days. Seems when I lay down
the pain gets much worse. Anyway, I regret bringin it up now.
We've spent way to much time on it! I'd rather move on to
more pleasant things. If it is my time I'd rather spend it
on something beside whining about it. Maybe it's time to
make another fractal!!

I don't know enough about heart troubles to even begin to understand why laying down would make the pain worse.
