The family and I went to the renaissance fair yesterday, I love going for the people watching, (pirate day was great) and ideas. The kids love all the cool stuff. Being a maker it's hard for me to pay $70 for a small souvenir that I can build in an hour for less than $5. So we decided that the kids would get something cool and then as a family we would build all the other stuff together and I could teach them how. So for my two sons we spent the day making wooden swords and painting them. My daughter I taught how to make chain mail jewelry, pictures coming soon.
It was a good day!
