so i finally invested in a little 4x5 wacom recently, this is my first attempt at painting with it. no idea how long it took, other than a long time.. at least 10 hours, probably many more than that.what have i learned from this?
PAINTING HAIR SUCKS THE DEVIL'S WANG!!!!!
so if it looks stupid that is why.
no photo references used other than for the very basic facial proportions, so i could get the nose in the right spot. other than that it is all painted from scratch. i suck at lighting, i know, and i am okay with that.
here is a closeup of the lips and water drops . the original file size is huge, a lot of detail is lost in the small view.
