Description Supersaurus was one of the longest, and largest sauropods ever to exist. Currently it is the longest vertebrate animal we have good fossil evidence for. Only a few ichnotaxa and Amphicoelias surpass it. The mounted specimen in the Wyoming Dinosaur Center is a whopping 32 meters long, but it's the smaller of the two specimens! The other, at BYU is likely close to 38 meters in length (125 feet for my non-metric friends)! Likely in the region of 50 tons, it outsized even adult Brachiosaurus.
Here Supersaurus is looking for some fresh young pinecones, rearing its head up nearly 75 feet into the trees to get to the protein-packed cones. I don't know if sauropods would have liked eating pinecones, but it's a fun idea!

Fantastic! Love seeing sauropods in the tripod pose, especially those as crazily long as Supersaurus!

Yes! This sucker id the tallest biological construct on earth other than trees!  If we can ever get confirmation of Amphicoelias, it could be nearly twice as tall! :0

The Argentinosaurus is at 75 ft high when rearing up in the Argentinosaurus vs Theropods image. But its legs are not much straighter as in your image,so it can still reach higher.

It's times like this I wish at least some of them we're still alive. There the closest things out of this world I know truly exist and would love to see at least the sauropods still alive.

The large sauropods invoke a sense of "self-insignificance" when you're next to them due to their size.
