Thank you very much! I agree, photos tend to turn out better when you are at eye level with the spider

Yay thank you so much! It's nice to meet another spider lover I love spiders as long as they're not aggressive I saw a jet black one outside today and when I got close to take a photo, it spread its front legs apart and showed me its fangs
Thank you for you comment

Yep, I'm the same way with spiders. Gimme a nice little jumping spider, but keep them angry ones far away.
Aww, the little guy was just trying to show his smiley face

Great DOF - the color and texture of the foreground and background help make the little spider stand out.

Thank you
The texture of the leaf was similar to the texture of the hairs on his head

I love how the little hairs on his body are almost as big as the fibers of the leaf. So tiny! I bet he was staring at the one giant eye of the camera and freaking out.

Hehe I know! I couldn't believe how tiny he was.
You're probably right, he was so stunned by the sight of the camera that he froze, so that made him easier to photograph

I like all three of your spider photos, but I think this is the strongest. The depth of focus, the colors, the lighting, the detail on the spider himself, these are great! !

Thank you very much, I'd agree. This is definitely the most dynamic of yesterday's photos

Oh my gosh. I must be cracking upl He actually looks cuddly. Do spiders have 4 eyes?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FramedByNature In reply to grandmajudie [2008-04-22 23:07:34 +0000 UTC]

Hehe I could definitely see why you think he looks cuddly ^_^ Spiders don't have 4 eyes, they either have 6 or 8. You'd think I'd know, but I'm not sure If they do have 8, one of the pairs is very small

grandmajudie In reply to FramedByNature [2008-04-23 05:15:22 +0000 UTC]

How come I don't ever seemcute little spiders like that? I've seen them in other houses that I've lived in. I think Mattel should make a baby jumping spider toy that looks like your pictures.
