Description Here's a 9-shot panoramic image of a giant flock of snow geese at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. It set an all-time refuge record, at 1.4 million geese. It was simply surreal when a big chunk of them would lift off all at once like this, likely spooked by an eagle flying by. The funny thing is, this is hardly a drop in the bucket compared to the whole group.

Hey guys. I don't think these birds are on the 'endangered species' list.

...

Just so we're clear on this.

How the heck did you take those pictures on a moving flock?!

Can you take multi-shot panoramic photographs on a point-and-shoot and make 'em look good? Am I spouting nonsense or looking terribly stupid?

I love it when birds flock together like this, but I've never seen it at such a scale! O_o
I feel that the flock looks like a dragon...It's probably just me but the group definitely looks amazingly powerful, even if it is just a few of them

Beautiful capture, keep it up

wow... I'm curious: how do you make a pano of that without getting "ghosts"? those geese were probably moving fast...

really impressive result.

Jesus that's a heck of a lot of geese... I shudder to think how large the whole group is if these are barely a drop in the bucket. They make for a lovely photo though! Nice job, as always!
