Reversed 18-55mm kit lens

Had a tough time choosing today's photo, since I took quite a few snowflake photos this afternoon Ended up choosing this one because it showcases a new approach to shooting them instead of my more scientific backlit glass technique It's simple enough to do, just take a toothpick and "stand" a snowflake up on top of the rest of the snow. Then get down to "eye level" and shoot Actually working on a focus-stacked version of this, but in the interest of timeliness, I give you this softer, more artistic version

Wow! the "heart" of the snowflake is hexagon! And everything about its structure is perfectly symmetric. I appreciate you have that much patience in capturing such beautiful things.
