I've always loved the X-Men... and I always will.Was first bit by the bug, when John Byrne/ Terry Austin/ Chris Claremont took me on Uncanny adventures, each and every month. The current issues always kept me craving more, while the next issue always felt like a million years away.
Before my first professional work in comics, I would dream about one day being inked by Terry Austin. I was ravenous about all kinds of comics, but Uncanny X-Men was always at the top of the stack. While Mr. Austin was number one in my eyes, I eventually came across the stellar works of meticulous linesmiths like: Panosian, Dell, Morales, Thibert, Townsend, Farmer, and on, and on, and on. Seems as though in our own lifetime, Inking is quickly becoming a lost art. Makes me appreciate the ones who do it so well... all the more.
X-Men comics have always featured the cream of the crop. So glad that I still haven't lost that loving feeling, even after all these years. Here is a heaping helping of the crem de la crem... Marvelous Mutants, Franchesco Style!

I use to love Liefield to death..... I was told though that the inker on his work was what made his work look good, which I couldn't understand.
Years later I saw the difference in his work and wondered if what that person told me was right..... I still didn't understand how but it was an interesting idea.
Being on DA for the past 2 years, I've noticed why that person said what they did and especially what you're talking about with inking becoming a lost art. I've seen a lot of decent artists work not shine properly because the inker did not handle the lines properly. Some artists could use the inker's help (like me) and some are constrained by the inker on their work if they're not good. The guys you mentioned, they're just as valuable as the pencilers sometimes, i really hope they're being taken care of like the pencilers are..... Great work here, I wonder what it would look like inked=]

Great work on the X-Ladies and nice choice in placing Storm dead center. She's ALWAYS been my favorite of all the X-Women and I do love 'em all. BTW, the White Queen's hair looks so meticulously done. Impressive.

John Byrne is responsible for getting me into the x-men way back in the early eighties.
Nice work. One question though: do superheroes get free boob jobs or is that just part of their mutation?

wow.....you are soooo talented. ... .this takes me back. . .i havent pickd up an x comic in at least 8 years.... . .after the first movie i just didnt like the direction they took the books. . .hell i havent read any comic in just as long.
