This is near Fossano (Grinzane) in Piedmont. That mountain is Monviso and it's 3842 metres high. It seems really tall because it's at least 800-1000m higher than the near peaks.

There's so much in this photo it makes me wonder if it's not from some make believe world. I love the colour contrast between the sky and field/ploughed field, but then the clouds and peeping mountain take it to another level. Amazing!
