Frank’s POV

The first day of school is always boring, the teachers just talk about themselves and a bunch of other shit I don’t care about. The teacher seems pretty nice. He didn’t give us any homework.
My next class is study hall, with Gerard. It’s only two doors away from this class, so I’m not gonna get lost. That’s the only thing I’m really worried about here, since this is my first year I have no idea where anything is. Any time I try to talk to Gerard about it, he gets pissed off or depressed. I did get a school map with my schedule, which helps a little.

The bell rings.
“Okay class, we’ll start our first lesson tomorrow, bye.” The teacher says as we all start leaving the classroom.
I walk two doors over, to my right.
I don’t see Gerard yet so I’ll just sit at a random seat in the back and look around the room at all the “encouraging” posters on the wall.
Some say stuff like, “Don’t Give Up” and “You Can Make It”.
Gerard walks in and sets his stuff on the desk next to mine. “Hey.”
“Hey, how was English?”
“Ugh, boring, how was math?”
“Boring.”
A bunch of other kids come in the room and sit towards the front.
Gerard opens a sketchbook and starts drawing something.
“Everyone be quiet.” The teacher says as she comes in the room and sets a few papers on the desk. She starts taking attendance. I didn’t really pay any attention to the other kids’ names, but after about five or six names she calls mine.
“Here.”
Then Gerard was the last one called.
“Here.” He said without looking up from his sketchbook.
“Okay, does anyone want a pass?” She asked, and a few girls got a pass and left.
The teacher got on her computer and everyone started talking again.
I look back over at Gerard. “What are you drawing?”
“Oh, nothing really, just a doodle.” He said with a smile.
“Can I look through your sketchbook?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.” He hands me the sketchbook and I flip through all the sketches, most of them are zombies and superheroes or random doodles, but I flip to one that was of him and me sitting under a tree, holding hands, and it’s raining.
“Gerard this…this is amazing.” I look back up at him.
“Oh...yeah, thanks.” He says blushing.
I keep staring at the picture.
“You can keep it…if you want.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, here let me rip it out.”
“Thank you.” He carefully pulls the picture out of the sketchbook and hands it back to me. I put it my folder so that it doesn’t get ruined. I could have made out with him right there, but I resisted since we were obviously in school, no one was paying attention to us but still…
“Do you have any more… of you and me?”
“Uhh…yeah…I think I have a few at home.”
“I want to see em’.”
“…Okay.”
I hold his hand, under the desk so no one would notice. For a few minutes we just sit there looking at each other.
“What class do you have next?” Gerard asks me.
“Uhh, Gym.”
“Oh that sucks, I have Art.”
“Lucky.”
“Ha, what do you have after that?”
“Science.”
“I have Math.”
The bell rings, and even though I really don’t want to, I let go of his hand. We grab our stuff and start walking towards the door.
“So, I guess I’ll see you at lunch or in the hall way or something.”
“Alright, see ya.” I say then dump all my stuff off in my locker, and put the folder with the picture in my book bag, and walk to gym. I don’t need my gym clothes on the first day.

One hour and thirty minutes later.

I didn’t see Gerard in the hall, but I’ll meet up with him in the lunchroom. In gym we played dodge ball, which I love, because I’m really good at it. I didn’t really talk to anyone though. Science was a lot like math cause the teacher just talked a bunch, but we got to pick lab partners and I get to be partners with that girl Haley, so at least I have a new friend in that class, and we compared our schedules and I also have art with her, that’ll be fun. Haley’s pretty nice.
I get a slice of cheese pizza and a soda for lunch. I sit down and a few seconds’ later Gerard sits down across from me with a bag of chips, a soda and a granola bar.
“Hey.” He says sounding upset.
“Hey…are you okay, you sound upset or something.”
“Uh, I’m fine…Jonathan just punched me in the stomach…a few times.”
“Jeez…I’m gonna kill that mother fucker.”
“I’m alright…I’m used to it.”
“…He probably does it to make him feel good about himself.”
“Probably.”
We didn’t talk for a minute or two while we ate our food.
“Haley’s in my science class, she’s my lab partner.” I say.
“…Oh yeah, I remember her…her friend Jill’s in my math class.”
“That’s cool.”
I take a drink of my soda and just than a sandwich is thrown at my face. I look up to see Jonathan and his friends laughing and pointing at me. I look at Gerard and he just shakes his head. I push the sandwich on the floor and brush breadcrumbs out of my hair.

The bell rings. Gerard and me finished our lunch and threw away our trash.
“What class do you have now?” He asks me as we walk down the hallway.
“Study hall, you?”
“Science, then we have history together.”
“Oh yeah.” I smile
“Well I’ll see you there.”
“See ya.”
I go to my locker and get a notebook and pencil. I really don’t know what I’m gonna do in class, its not like I have homework.
I get in the room and take a seat in the back.
It feels like people are watching me but when I look around, no one is paying attention. I pull my hood up and rest my head on the desk.

Gerard’s POV

I hate school. If it were still summer, Frank and me would probably be watching a movie or making out or something… I don’t know. Science is just so boring so I’m thinking about him to keep myself awake. I have to be lab partners with this one guy, I think his name is Pete. He’s kind of a nerd, but whatever.

76 minutes later

Well history was pretty fun. Frank and I just talked all the time, but now I have gym, which is my least favorite class. To make it worse Jonathan happens to be in this class to. He probably won’t do too much when the teachers are around, but I’m expecting to get the shit beat out of me in the locker room at the end of the class. We don’t need to change today though, so I’m not that worried right now.
I have French with Frank next, then I have a study hall, and then we get to go home.

90 minutes later

Well that wasn’t so bad. I didn’t get beat up at gym, and French was funny, cause Frank and me were making fun of our teachers’ ridiculous hair. Study hall wasn’t too bad. Jill and Haley were in it and they were making laugh, so I’m in a good mood right now.

35 minutes later

We all get off the school bus and start walking down the street.
“How was you first day Mikey?” I ask.
“It was really boring, but not that bad, how bout you?”
“Same.” I look over at Frank, and he looks nervous about something. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I just really need to pee, I haven’t gone like all day.”
I laugh “Well after you go, you can just come over to our house, and hang out.”
“Okay.” Frank runs into his house and shuts the door behind him.
We walk into our house and Mikey drops his bag by the couch and goes strait for the kitchen. I walk up to my room and clean up my room a bit. I turn on my stereo and put in an Avenged Sevenfold CD.
“Hey.”
I turn around and Frank’s standing in my doorway.
“Hey.”
He walks in and sits down on my bed. “So…what do you wanna do today?”
I sit next to him on the bed, taking his head in my hands and kissing him passionately.
He runs his fingers through my hair.
I lick his bottom lip and he opens his mouth enough for my tongue to slip in and meet his.
While our tongues wrestled I lightly pushed him back so he’s lying on my bed and I’m on top of him.
But then someone knocks on the wall.
I pull away from Frank to see Mikey standing in my doorway. I forgot the door wasn’t closed.
“What?” I say staring at him.
“Umm…Mom and Dad have to work late tonight, and mom said you have to make dinner.”
“…I’ll just order some Chinese food, or something.”
“Okay.” Mikey says then walks away.
I look down at Frank, “Umm, do you want to stay for dinner?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.”
I get off of him, and he sits up.
“Umm…what do you wanna do now?” He asks.
“Umm, we could go… to the comic book store? I think they got a bunch of new comics today.”
“Alright, I need to go get some money though.”
“Okay.”
