Description
Alexander Knox is a reporter at the Gotham Globe. Knox was out to prove the existence of Batman, despite risking his career and being constantly scoffed at by colleagues and city officials. He formed with partnership with the noted photographer Vicki Vale, who served an interest in the Batman.

In Sam Hamm's original drafts of 89, Knox was about to get killed off in the climax, but decided to let him live when Warren Skaaren did revisions. Robert Whul played Alexander Knox in Batman 89. His character was going to get killed off by Daniel Waters in his drafts for Batman Returns, but Tim told him to reject that idea.
