Description
This is based on the first episode of Captain Planet, where Linka uses her ring for the first time and creates this tornado sort of thing that lifts her up in the air. I thought it was a pretty cool scene, plus she was wearing the blue peacoat/turtleneck combo, which I thought was much cooler than her Planeteer outfit, so I decided to make a picture of it.This was pretty fun to make. I'm proud of the tornado-thingy, not quite so proud of the "aura" coming from her ring, I was trying to make it look like it was casting this blue light on Linka, but not quite sure if I pulled it off.
(On a side note, Linka had blue eyes in this episode, but later on in the series they were green, so I made them sorta blue-green....)

great work! I have to admit when I watch ep 1 that I think she is wearing such a stereotypical "soviet/russian" outfit (though my bf heatedly disagree's with me heh), but it does look VERY cool none-the-less. But, we still gotta love her in short-shorts - gotta have the hot leggy blonde for Wheeler to eye off hehe
I think you did well with the aura coming from her ring and I love the way you've created the tornado effect around her.

I agree that her original outfit looks "soviet/russian" I think the short shorts are kinda funny, cause I'm pretty sure in one episode when she goes home to visit she's wearing them, but everyone else around is wearing coats and stuff. I just think "Aren't you cold?" But I think I want to post a new pic of Linka, I've gotten alot better since I made this (I think so anyway) I should definitely draw her in the shorts, because she was totally the token "hot leggy blonde." (So you can't really blame Wheeler for checking her out, I mean he is a teenage guy after all...
