Description Finally complete my aayla cossie

Sadly the flash has RUINED the colour of the vest and leather in general its not as dark overall as it seems here!

But am pleased with the body paint, especially considering I couldnt use my airbrush and had to make do with sponge application (My mum would have killed me if I left the bathroom blue )

Will submit some pics of my lekku alone too They are of course Lekku from "Pam's twi leks" - amazing piece of work they are too!

thanks for looking

Fantastic work on the outfit! How long can you keep that body paint on without it smudging all over the place? What if you have to blow your nose or something?

That's beautiful! I absolutely love it!

I've been trying to make my own Aayla costume, but so far, no luck. What kind of paint did you use for the skin? I was wondering, what kind of non-airbrush make up would you recommend for different colored skin? I'm doing a Chiana costume right now, but I don't have an airbrush, and can't seem to find an affordable one! xD

Hi there
thanks for the comment! I used Ben Nye magicolor liquid paint in Cosmic blue but then lightened it up a bit with a touch of white from the same range. It can be used with an airbrush or with a sponge, which is what I did for this photo You need to get some Ben Nye Final Seal too so that you can apply a coat before hand to give the paint better "grip" and then a layer after you have applied to make it last longer. Its pretty durable stuff though, although touch ups in places like the elbow creases etc are always necessary
In terms of airbrushes I got mine from ebay for £60 (thats about $110 I reckon...) and its the best thing I have bought in ages!!! I use it for everything now - lol

Any other questions, feel free to drop me a private note and I'll help as much as I can

Good luck!
x

Great, thank you so much!! Someday I'll have to get an airbrush too, XD

Do you recommend any particular places/websites where I could purchase some Ben Nye?

Great job blending colors with the body paint/lekku. On most people's costumes, they don't quite match up and it stands out.

Would love to see more pictures.

nice work, blue's always hard on photo's but the colours are nice and the lekku seem to fit very well
