Description Made using *saiyamewome 's awesome tutorial!!! [link]

It's been forever and a day since I submitted anything to DA! I've been trying my hand on my new sewing obsession, so here's a Shiny Dragonair Plushie!

This baby here is 60" or about 5' long from nose to tail tip. It is made out of pink and white felt, except for the jewel/ball thingy under its neck which is made of a yellow patterned fabric whose name I forgot (headdesk). It is stuffed with Poly-Fill 100% Premium Polyester Fiberfill and it has some wire inside to make it bend.

This is the biggest or rather longest plushie I've ever made. And I'm very proud of how good it came out. Though, because this was an experiment for me I used the wrong wire and the wire at its neck snapped/broke, so the head flops down without support :/ Also I guess my measurements were a bit off and the body/tail came out a little too skinny for my tastes.

This plushie was a gift to ~BlackThornRose
I take no credit for the plushie's pattern, please follow the link at the top and leave some nice comments on *saiyamewome amazing gallery!

Machine sewn, except for the horn, the ball and the tail rings which were hand sewn. The eyes are separate pieces of felt glued together and to the head using a hot glue gun. Apologies for the low quality pic, was using my cellphone.

Thank you so much for having a look!

Oh yes, please do!! Saiyamewome's tutorial is really easy to follow and I'm by no means an expert on sewing (to be honest this was the first time I used a sewing machine on a serious project)but I absolutely loved it, and I'm very pleased with the results. So much so, that I have continued sewing and making other kinds of plushies (I still have to put those pics on DA, headdesk).

I really recommend this tutorial, specially if you love Pokemon or simply want to try your hand at plushie making. You never know, maybe this will show you a new hidden talent or just become a very satisfying hobby. Either way I hope you do enjoy it, and if you need help or pointers, please feel free to ask me and I'll do what I can for you :3

So if you do try it I would love to see what you come up with.

My only concern is figuring out how much fabric I will be using. How long was yours, and around how much did you need of each color?

Sorry for the late reply, the Holidays kicked my butt XD Hope you had a good Holidays though.

So, for the fabric I used felt, and since the plushie I made is about 5 feet long I bought 2 yards of white and 2 yards of pink (or blue depending on what version you wanna make). If you wanna do the eyes like I did, which is separate pieces of felt glued to the head. I suggest you buy the little square pieces of felt from Michael's (don't know if you have that store where you live)they're about 9" and should cost less than 30 cents a piece. For the ringson the tail and the lil ball on his neck you dont need that much, a couple of inches should do.

Peen in all his lovely pink glory! Too fabulous for words!! Totally perfect for his equally pretty owner. I'm spazzing so much over this. Mom was like "This is cool." But my sister was like "The hell...?" Lol, their reactions to Peen are awesome~ Can't stop snickering xD;;

Kamex has questionable tastes. I had to laugh at your family's reactions, you would think your mom will be shocked and confused, and your sister more awed by it XD

Kamex just doesn't discriminate xD;; He's awesome like that~
I told them both it was a dragon. And Tika was all confused. I was like "WOMAN!! We played Pokemon when we were growing up. You have the Red game!!" *shakes head* True fans would know >

What has this generation come to that they can't recognize classic Pokemons!?! Although it might have something to do with the fact that they are reaching the 1k mark lol
