Description
The Royal Viking Air Force's primary multi-role fighter: RVF-26 "Night Fury".In terms of speed and agility, this can outmatch even the latest of US fighters. It however lacks stealth capabilities, but can still evade a missile with ease.
It looks very similar to an F-14 "Tomcat", that's because the body is an F-14, some modifications were only added or removed.

The symbol there is a reference to the Soviet emblem; but instead of a hammer and sickle, it's a viking hammer and axe the two things that symbolize a viking. The color is green representing the green grass on the fields.

I know a real life plane that somewhat has the same tail design, called the B-1R Lancer(not in service at the moment), which is basically an airframe upgrade for the B-1B Lancer of today. Anyways good art and the F-14 was a good choice

Hmm... yes, yes it does. And the tailwing isn't straight up, it's somewhat slanted away from the fuselage. Maybe some of the plane designers working for the USAF watched HTTYD and found a good use for Toothless' tailwing, like how I saw it. However, unlike the B-1R, the Night Fury fighter's tailwing folds down at high speed, reducing drag. The leftside view shows how it'll look like when the wings are folded back up; the top view shows how it looks like folded downward.

thanks for pointing out the similarities, but unfortunately, the B-1R might not enter production due to Boeing lacking the funds and the airforce not showing much interest. It was however featured in a tv show, as a missile truck.

Ooooh.... very nice. I'm always interested in sci-fi military tech/vehicles and this just looks awesome.

He's actually working on fighter jets for the military over in Iraq. But it's cool because i get to go to Las Vegas in a couple weeks to visit him while he's here for a couple months. but then he's gotta go back over :c

who needs stealth when you have speed and quick reflexes that match a night fury. Not to mention deadly accuracy that'll make Osama Bin Laden's 9/11 attack look like mere child's play.
