Description In 2004 I started experimenting with whittling chunks of scrap plaster. I had a broken chunk that was just the right size to carve out a life size skull of the original and type specimen of Velociraptor mongoliensis. So that's what I did. After a few days of on and off again carving and sanding, I had created this replica which I then painted with acrylics.
