There's hope indeed! I hope I grab the rope to hope. (wow)
And I also hope you get to go there! I regret not being born in the UK. HAHAHAH

I've already said this to you via twitter but I absolutely adore this, and I am certain Rosie will have loved it too!
Can't wait to see more of what you do in the future!

Thank you so so much, Erin!! I really spent some time coloring it (and making it light), so happy it was worth it! Awwww, glad you liked her expression, gotta love expressions when it's about drawing! <3

It really is gorgeous! I wish I had a tablet to do some digital colouring. (I am so over watercolouring right now!) It is a beautiful little piece. I especially love the detail you've one into for her top and the harness, so many people would have ignored it!

Aw!! Ta very very much!! I can guarantee money spent on a digital tablet is the best spent money in life. Go for it when you have the chance! Can you do it with real watercolors?
I LOOOOVE details in drawings even though I think I could work more on them, it's almost like they give life and personality to it, and features more visible things so people can really recognize what's on the pic. And of course, c'mon, her outfit is GLORIOUS there, couldn't ignore it even if I wanted to. HAHAH

If I'm going to colour something properly and take the time with it, I usually ink, watercolour, then go over some details/shading with colour pencils, and ink again. It's lengthy and a lot of room for error.
Some styles suit the more simple look, but, details are what bring out the quirk and life, really. I definitely need to work on detail and background, I'm very lazy. ^^' But your picture's really balanced! It's not so much detail that it's too busy, and just enought to draw your eye, and then have fun exploring the image. And I've looked through your gallery a few times, and seen your pics on facebook, and it's also amazing to see how you've come along and made the style your own. Really looking forward to seeing more.
And yeah, I loved The Light Princess for many reasons. The costumes being one. I was very lucky and saw them a few times, and they're gorgeous. And Althea's outfit was just plain cute!

I tried once to color with actual paint but oh god that was messy, and I messed my drawing. But the process and all was fun, maybe it's worth it. HAHAH I'm a total idiot with color pencils, really. It's sad.
Yeah! It really depends like on what are you going to detail. Simple drawings tho have their own details, but in a controlled or subtle way, maybe. I gotta start doing actual backgrounds, interactive ones as well, but lazyness is just the way I roll.
And awww! It makes me so happy you went through my gallery a few times (hopefully I didn't do anything bad to your vision HAHAH). Did you see them on Hadley's fanpage? I have no idea how I reached that style, I was too obsessed in not copying to find my way, and it seems I didn't even realized I may be in the right path.
I'm so jealous you could see The Light Princess! I can't wait for the cast recording, it may clear my mind and fill with details so I can draw something about it! It kills me not being able to understand everything of the play, it seemed so magical and floaty. :/

I wish I was more skilled, and could paint properly. Maybe I can have the time and resources to have a proper play around one day.
I honestly have nothing fancy. Drawing for me is just something to ease boredom. I make do with some cheap HBs and a pack of 36 crayola!
I am so lazy with backgrounds, I'm terrible. To be honest, I'm not even one to usually finish a sketch or composition! You're a lot better than me! And not at all, chicken. It'd be very hard for anyone to do anything 'bad', and you certainly haven't, by a long way! And yes, I have. I don't frequent it often, but I have seen your work there.
And that's amazing! I worry I'm too influenced by others, but, I try to make things my own. My chibis are definitely mine though, and think that at least shows. I hope, at any rate!
I am not experienced to have any opinion but my own subjective one on what I find aesthetically pleasing, but, your work is that. So I'd say you are definitely on the right track! Especially since you are so obsessed with making things your own.
I am very lucky, I went quite a few times... A lot... More than a lot.
The soundtrack will probably clear something up, but the show was so beautiful and magical in it's own right, it's sad to know people can't just see it. The design was gorgeous, it was like being in a fairytale book!

Oh dear, no you don't. HAHAH And they're not even old, so awgh. I'll send you by DM or something on twitter, but I don't mean to burn your eyes! And thank you, you and your lovely words!
Art supplies for me were always a pencil and an eraser, but after some time you discover thing and jesus christ I didn't sign for this. I agree with you, in my case would be movie tickets because just thinking in going to theatre makes me cry.
Filling the tag is totally a goal now. HAHAH
OH, they weren't acted? It looked like it was like in Amphibiava and Althea. Oh god, a new version is all I ask for! Love having lots of versions of a single song, you can imagine my Hadley/Rosie playlist by knowing that, oops. Gosh, can't wait to buy it.

Just being truthful, chick!
I wish I could work digitally though. It just looks more professional, and people are much happier to look at and buy it, I think. It looks a lot cleaner, too. Both in the aesthetic sense, and creation wise...
See for me, the bus and a cinema ticket is about the same as the train and a ticket to something at the National! It's a bit silly!
Let's DO IT!
Well, they were, but not to the extent of a performance. Take the beginning of 'Althea', it's all quite conversational and pretty neutral. Whilst in the show it obviously had higher stakes and more emotion running through it. (Althea, for one, was feisty as anything.)
I can imagine! I tend to find one good version, and stick to that.

You're too kind!
You should give it a go. It does look more professional and all, I agree 100% with you but lots of people say "digital art isn't real art, the computer does everything for you" which is really outrageous.
And the same??????? Can I move there already?
Oh right. Yeah, totally! Also, living the scene on stage would be more emotional for obvious reasons and gee I can't even imagine how awesome it was.
I do the one good version thing as well but they're weird, each version of their songs seem so unique and all so yay, I'm pretty creepy, let me tell you.

The only possible thing I can think of is the fact digital you can erase and undo, which unless you're working in pencil or a paint you can go-over with, isn't really an option with traditional media. he process is stull virtually the same. Select brushes, colours, still have to map things out and then build it up. :/
Very awesome. Hopefully it'll be back one day and you can see it. (There's talks of Broadway version but I'm unsure how that'll pan out, personally.)
I doubt you are creepy at all, Ana!

Indeed! Everything seems pretty much easy with the computer but hey, it's not like that at all. There's the whole process with it and ugh.
Oh I can't wait for it. I can't wait for everything. I've heard about the Broadway version, do you think Rosie would do it as well?
You have no idea how creepy I am, lovely Erin. HAHAHAH

GIVE IT A GO! But I don't think it's easy to compare digital to traditional works. Also some scanners kill the pics. Do you have a tablet?
And digital chibis are really really loved sooooooooooooo imagine you doing your amazing chibis digitally!
Yeah 100% agreed. I don't know too if it's coming to Broadway soon...

oh not at all! like I said, they're both different and demand different things. It's like saying because you do mountain biking, you'd be excellent at track races and things.
I don't have a tablet, sadly. So I haven't got the option of digital work. And at the minute my money is being poured into living anf my course. Ew.
I really would love to try them digitally! Save glorified fingerpainting on Vicki's ipad when I have sneaked it to speedily draw something whilst she showered or something, I've never had digital ones!
