Description
This is 'Overtime'Its been my labour of love for the last 4-5 months. Finally its here.
Its a Parody, of a well known Film Franchise... so sit back and enjoy!
UPDATE : The film is being shown at the POL-8 Film Festival in Poland at the end of September! Let me know if you go!
Also, the local Paper has done an article on the film! We made the front page as well as page 3! Cool!
ANOTHER UPDATE : This has just got out of hand! We are now a small internet phenomenon! The Dail Mail, The Telegraph and The Sun have all posted articles about the film on the Online Sites. We even made Page 7 of the The Sun newspaper on Saturday 20th September 2008! The viewings of the film on YouTube have just gone huge! (for me anyway! LOL!) I'm seriously speechless at the mo!
UPDATE 3! : Firstly, i was chuffed to bits when the film won 'Best Fan Film' at the American Motion Picture Society's Film Festival 2008. Now i've just heard that the film has been give the 4 Stars Award at this years British International Amateur Film Festival 2009! I'm rather chuffed!

Not bad effects, the acting was okay, some of the scenes were a little long, especially leading up to the fight. We get the idea that he is bored after about 10 seconds or so and probably didn't need about a full minute of him being bored and just doing random stuff. It left me thinking, come on get on with the next part already, I get that he's bored and the other guy is annoyed with him. Besides, aren't they working late and if he has nothing to do why is he sticking around? But my biggest crit is that you guys need to invest in a boom mic! The volume was so low in the dialog in certain parts that I couldn't understand what was being said. Not bad and hopefully you can use this info to get better!

I totally agree on your comments, and had i had them back in 2008 when i made the film i would have probably made some changes.
I couldn't agree more on the Mic front, all my later films are all shot with a proper Sound Guy! This film was shot on a tiny handycam, with nothing extra. I guess it shows with regards to the sound, but i feel it certainly shows what you can do with just a cheap £100 camcorder.

That makes sense then. Did you have a copyright date or something that indicated that? I thought I Had seen your work before and it didn't seem on par with your other stuff. So that explains a lot now.

Copyright is luckily all sorted on this film due to holding a series of MCPS & PPL licences. So that's not an issue for me.
The sequel to this film was the last film i made on a camcorder... everything nowadays is all HD, as i shoot on the Canon 7D.
My latest flick 'Room 4' is up here, and i've just shot a film called '8-Ball' which is currently being edited.

Oh yeah, you ARE the same guy that did Room 4, I thought you were familiar! I really enjoyed that one and fave'd it when it was posted, plus I commented it. I rarely fave film because most of the time the films posted here are not all that good, but I faved Room 4 because it was well done from top to bottom. You have improved leaps and bounds since Overtime!

I originally wrote "don't be an idiot!", which we did film, but felt like a wet blanket! LOL... so we changed it on the spot to "Don't be a Knob!" Which works much better.

I was just more surprised at the sudden and very rapid appearance of the lightsaber. I guess I should've seen it coming, but still it caught me off guard.
