Last year I concepted an idea for Titania the Fairy Queen;Initially she was going to be a sweet-faced villain who manipulated the main characters on a selfish quest for herself but I don't like that idea any more. I don't want her to be good/evil but she is still self-serving and probably won't come into the story so much.
My new idea is that she has a 'human' form which runs a flower shop. She is still aware she's the fairy queen but the fairy world is a different place to what it was hundreds of years ago when stories about her were new and maybe she likes our world better. (Also they have coffee here).

I think you and I are on the same board with good/evil character design O_o I'm so frustrated with this one character and cafe design, I know how you feel XD I think I really like her hair and flowers, because the colors blend well and make her stick out. What I didn't notice before was her bow tie thingy is a moth XD That's so clever!
What I learned recently was that a good character is easily recognizable by repeating colors (like you have purple in her hair and in her eye shadow). I also notice when I watch an anime the first time, I'm always like "Oh the girl with the red hair, or the guy with the blue hair" until I learn their names XD I love her hair color, it's sunny and friendly, and I guess if she turns into an evil character, it could be a big surprise for the readers.

(if you're worried about hair, she could have different styles for different moods of the story? [I'm kinda doing that too-- hair down for srs moments lol])

thank you so much for that!!! i think i might add more accessories/flowers/hair in the finished design but im quite happy with this as the basis for now 
you should post yours too post away!!! theyre great and youll get good feedback on how to make them even better! i think ive improved the most when people are really harsh with crit on my work. It stings but then it makes me want to show them i can do better!!!

i thought i'd make her flower shop more ornate in the real version and maybe more accessories... or hair?? idk i feel like she needs more hair XD

Hmmm, I dunno, I quite like the hair as it is but you can always experiment with it if you want it more like her Fairy Queen design.
Maybe add some detailing to her dress. Like a subtle pattern in places.
And, even though this might not seem to go with her personality but maybe she can have a tattoo(s) that peeks our from above the neckline of her dress or the sleeves. A fairy-like pattern, although I'm not quite sure myself what that would entail.
