this is a pic of me and linx (well no surprises there eh?) just before our AGI last friday... it was taken by my mum, who for once managed to make a reasonable effort not to mess up image quality.
basically, we're in our best uniform (our CCF doesnt go in for dress uniform so we parade in our combats). no comments about the hackle (that tampon like thing on my head) please, ive heard them ALL before!!! lol alicat you know exactly what i mean and dont give me that innocent look ... heh.

lucky, i wish our unit could parade in combats. the only good thing about our scarlets is that you can fall asleep and the stiff fabric will prevent you from falling over

hackle is this red and white thing that we stick behind the cap badge on our berets - it was a battle honour dating back to sometime in the 1700s or maybe 1800s im not too sure - basically we had these white feathers in our caps at the time, and then when we beat the french in battle we dipped them in the french blood ... of course nowadays the plumes are synthetic and the red is just dye (how boring!
